W. NR. 1.1730

C45 steel has excellent strength and toughness characteristics.

Used in the mechanical sector for cranks, keys, rods, pins, semi-axles, mould holders,...

It can be found in the following states:

  • Rolled:

    • Thickness mm 20 to 120

    • Thickness mm 130 to 200

    • Thickness mm 210 to 400

  • Rectified

  • Forged:

    •  From thickness mm 310

W. NR. 1.2311

Characteristics:

  • quenched and tempered for plastic molds

  • well polishable

  • nitridable

  • suitable for chrome plating

  • uniform hardness up to a thickness of approx. 400 mm

  • good machinability

  • good toughness

Applications:

       Steel for:

  • plastic moulds

  • moulds frame for plastic and pressure casting molds

  • tool frame

W. NR. 1.2312

Characteristics:

  • quenched and tempered for plastic molds

  • excellent workability

  • provisory polishable

  • uniform hardness up to a cross-section of approx. 400 mm

Steel for:

  • plastic moulds

  • moulds frame for plastic and pressure casting molds

  • tool frame

W. NR. 1.2738

Characteristics:

  • quenched and tempered  for medium and large plastic moulds

  • excellent hardening penetration

  • good workability

  • very good polishability

  • photoengraving properties

  • nitridable 

Applications:

  • Thermoplastic injection and extrusion moulds, mould holders, containers, rubber moulds.

W. NR. 1.2738 HH MOD.

Characteristics:

  • quenched and tempered for large plastic moulds

  • excellent hardening penetration

  • excellent polishability

  • photoengraving property

  • nitriding

  • suitable for chrome plating

  • better weldability compared to W.nr. 1.2738

  • good toughness

 

Applications:

  • steel for plastic moulds of medium and large dimensions

W. NR. 1.2343

Characteristics:

  • annealed 

  • high level of toughness and ductility

  • good resistance to abrasion at low and high temperatures

  • uniform and high level of machinability and polishability

  • dimensional stability in hardening

Applications:

  • tools for extrusion: Dies, backers,dieholdres,liners,dummy 

       blocks..( 40-50 HRc)

  • plastic moulding: for thermoplastic and thermosetting (48-52 HRc)

  • other applications: severe cold punching, scrap shears, hot shearing, shrink rings, wear resisting parts

       ( 45-52HRc)

W. NR. 1.2343 ESR

Characteristics:

  • soft anneled, fine structure.

  • hot-work tool steel with a high resistance to heat.

  • excellent hardness and ductility in all directions

  • high resistance to temperature fatigue and wear

  • nitridable

  • excellent polishable

  • little change in dimension

  • high full quenching and tempering properties

  • isotropic properties compared to conventionally produces steelgrades

  • also to be used as cold work steel.

  • high clarity of the structure due to the remelting

  • drastic segregation reductions due to recast treatment

Applications:

       Moulds for:

  • tools for die casting (dies, fixed inserts, cores, nozzles, nitrided ejector pins, nitrided shot-sleeves)

  • tools for extrusion (dies, dieholders, liners, dummy blocks)

  • toold for hot pressing (Aluminium, Magnesium, Copper Alloys)

  • moulds for plastics (injection moulds)

  • parts for severe cold punching, scrap shears, hot shearing, shrink rings, wear resisting parts.

W. NR. 1.2714

Characteristics:

  • quenched  and tempered  

  • Cr-Ni-Mo chromium alloy tool steel

  • toughness

  • good polishability

  •  photoengraving proprerties

  • nitrurable

  • medium and large size plastic moulds for large productions.

W. NR. XPM

Characteristics:

  • high quality quenched and tempered for large moulds

  • excellent polishability

  • suitable for photogravure

  • nitrurable

  • excellent mirror finish.

  • moulds for reinforced plastics and composites

  • hydroforming tools

W. NR. XPM ESR

Characteristics:

  • high quality quenched and tempered for large moulds

  • excellent polishability

  • suitable for photogravure

  • nitridable

  • excellent mirror finish

  • high clarity of the structure due to the remelting

  • drastic reduction in segregation due to recast treatment

 

Applications:

  • moulds for reinforced plastics and composites

  • use of medium and large sized moulds with mirror finish 

  • Spotlight Headlights

  • chromed moulds

  • seamless molds for electronics

W. NR. 1.2083

Characteristics:

  • quenched and tempered with good polishability

  • moulds for processing with corrosive plastic materials

W. NR. 1.2085

Characteristics:

  • quenched and temperedwith good corrosion resistance
